Toy Giveaway with Paul Mooney at Black Repertory Theatre

On Saturday, December 14th, in conjunction with Blaqline Ent, Comedian Paul Mooney will host his annual charity toy giveaway at the Black Repertory Group’s Birel L. Vaughn Theater, 3201 Adeline St, Berkeley from 10am to 5pm.

Mooney has written for the Dave Chappelle Show, In Living Color, the Richard Pryor Show, Saturday Night Live, Good Times, and Sanford and Son. He played Sam Cooke in The Buddy Holly Story. and his first comedy album, Race, was nominated for a Grammy. He appeared in his own special, “Know Your History: Jesus Was Black…So Was Cleopatra” and released his memoir “Black Is the New White: A Memoir” via Gallery Books in 2009.

Mooney will distribute donated toys and gifts to the children while dressed as Santa Claus. All toys collected will be donated to the Chosen2Lead program.

Attendees who donate toys and gifts will be eligible to purchase discounted tickets for bottomless champagne service, express entry, and meet and greet with Mooney.
