San Joaquin County WorkNet will hold its 13th Annual Job and Resource Fair on Thursday, April 9.

The fair will be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stockton Arena, 248 West Fremont Street in Stockton. Veterans will be allowed to enter the event at 9:30 a.m. to connect with recruiters and hiring managers.

logoThe event is free. Last year the job fair attracted over 3,000 job seekers who came to talk to employers and expand their job search. This year’s attendance is expected to exceed 4,000 job seekers.

The busiest time of the fair is between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., so please plan accordingly. More than 100 employers and private non-profit organizations will be on-site accepting applications for over 1,000 job openings in a wide variety of occupations.

Human resource organizations from the local area will also be present recruiting for qualified applicants to fill available positions. Colleges, vocational schools, as well as community service organizations will also be present offering access to services and resources that can eliminate barriers to employment and training opportunities.
