Shani Zuberi, who participates with Girls Inc.- West Contra Costa County College Bound Girls program, was selected recently to participate in the Enterprising Women Foundation leadership conference in Florida.

Zuberi, who participates in the Girl Inc. program under the leadership of Executive Director Tiffany Harris, is a senior in high school and is pursuing her dreams to write scripts and plays.  She has been acknowledged for writing at the graduate level and wrote an excerpt for the book titled, “Boys are Better in Books.”

Each year, the Enterprising Women Foundation hosts a group of outstanding high school girls from across the United States for two days of leadership training and one-on-one mentoring.

The girls have an opportunity to meet highly successful women entrepreneurs and leaders from around the world and participate in a program developed specifically for them that includes inspiring speakers, participate in special workshops and meet in one-on-one mentorship sessions.

Zuberi attended the 2017 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration & Conference this week at the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
