Free College Enrollment Workshop at College of Marin

 

Apply now for FREE financial aid. The deadline is Friday, March 2, 2019 to apply for a Cal Grant or Middle Class Scholarship. You may be eligible for an award up to $12,570 depending on what campus you attend: a California community college or vocational educational institution, California State University, University of California, or eligible private non-profit or proprietary college or university. The College of Marin will be conducting a free College Enrollment Workshop for those who are expanding their employment opportunities, or for those who are considering a new career.

The workshop will show how the College of Marin can help in career development.

The workshop will take place Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Room 114 in the Academic Center at the College of Marin located, 835 College Ave. in Kentfield.

Lunch is included.

The workshop will include hands-on support for completing the college application, financial aid information, overview of academic opportunities to kick-start one’s career, and information about counseling and other services that are available.

There will also be a College Information Night on Wednesday, May 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Student Services Building, Rm. 111. The visitor can take a campus tour, learn the steps to enroll, explore financial aid options, and hear from other students about their experience at the College of Marin. Information about special programs such as Puente, DSPS, Tutoring, EOPS/CARE, and CalWORKS, will also be available.

The event is free, and a light dinner is included.
