“Envision Stockton” is shifting focus. At the next General Plan Update meeting, participants will help explore ways to create and support a vibrant and active downtown.

This interactive session will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., at the Downtown Stockton Alliance Conference Room, 125 Bridge Place, 3rd Floor. Even if you have already participated in other General Plan meetings, please plan to attend and share your vision on infill development and revitalization of the City’s downtown core.

The upcoming workshop will include a brief introduction followed by the opportunity to share ideas to boost downtown use. Members of the community are encouraged to participate, especially downtown stakeholders and residents.

“We are looking forward to speaking with and learning from business owners and residents who are personally invested in building on downtown’s current amenities,” said David Stagnaro, Planning Manager for the City of Stockton. “We need input from a variety of perspectives to make downtown a better place to live, work, and play.”

Extensive community involvement and participation is essential to the “Envision Stockton 2040” process. The new General Plan will serve as the City’s blueprint for future decisions regarding land use, community services, mobility, housing, and resource conservation – as it guides how Stockton will evolve over the next 20 plus years.

Please join us in the discussion and participate in the process. For questions about Envision Stockton 2040, please visit, call (209) 937-8598, or email
