Today, at Laney College the Oakland Raiders and the NFL partnered with Pro Football Hall of Famer Anthony Muñoz and the Muñoz Agency to host an NFL PLAY60 Character Camp as part of the NFL’s year-round Hispanic outreach initiative.

Over 300 boys and girls ages 7-13 from the Oakland community participated in the camp which focused on offering youth opportunities to play and experience the game of football.

The kids were taught football skills and learned about character, teamwork and what it means to be a positive influence in the community.

Former Raiders offensive lineman and Richmond, Calif. native Robert Jenkins spoke to the youngsters about the importance of Play60 as well as character.

The youngsters came from youth organizations throughout Oakland including representation from youngsters who play for the Oakland Jr. Raiders and from the East Oakland Youth Development Center.
