Alexis Bradley, a Richmond native, recently announced she will compete in the 2018 Miss California USA Pageant.
Bradley says she has spent a substantial portion of her childhood dreaming, but never felt confident enough to pursue any of them. Despite her insecurities, she has always been determined to excel academically, and has used her education to develop into a strong, young woman.
“This will be my first ever pageant and I am proud to have gained the confidence to pursue such a wonderful opportunity,” said Bradley.
After graduating from El Cerrito High School, she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology at the University of California at Riverside. She has committed herself to work with underprivileged populations throughout the Bay Area. She currently works as a Community Health Worker at LifeLong Medical Care. She soon plans to pursue her Master’s degree in hopes of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner.
“I believe this platform will challenge me to not only be more confident in myself and what I am capable of, but also will give me an opportunity to represent my city,” said Bradley, “With this opportunity, I will be able to give a voice to young girls who aspire to achieve remarkable things in life.”
The competition will be held December 1-3 in Long Beach, CA at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. Tickets are now on sale for preliminaries December 2nd and finals December 3rd via ticketmaster.com.
