Acts Full Gospel Church of God in Christ gave away 1300 turkeys last Saturday to the community, after church members went door to door in the community to notify neighbors of their giveaway.

It is estimated that over 3,000 people convened on the church campus as coordinators, volunteers and church members gave out the turkeys along with fruits and vegetables. The Acts Full Gospel Church Choir provided inspirational entertainment and a big bounce house kept younger children occupied as well.

At Sunday service, Bishop Bob Jackson thanked the church and congregation for its financial contributions, volunteer efforts, and support of the giveaway, which is valued at nearly $20,000.

Gospel recording artist Lawrence Matthews led the choir with his signature song “Create in Me” with the Acts Full Gospel Choir.

“People were happy, laughing and cordial. When you reach the community with love and kindness you create a right spirit in the atmosphere. This is the very atmosphere that Christ intended for us all to share in with all of our brothers and sisters in the community, especially those need,” said Bishop Bob Jackson. “Let’s keep this going here and in the world.”
