Raiders Attend Girls Inc. “College Shower” Celebrate and Honor Local College-Bound Young Women

Members of the Raiderettes joined Raiders staff at Clif Bar’s Emeryville headquarters to celebrate the accomplishments of incredibly deserving young women who have participated in the Girls Inc College Access Now “CAN” program.

These young ladies — most of them being the first in their families to attend a college or university — were “showered” with items needed for college, including backpacks filled with school supplies. Girls Inc. of Alameda County is a local affiliate of the national Girls Inc. organization, which provides vital educational programs to millions of American girls, particularly those in high-risk, underserved areas.
