Oakland Post Publisher Paul Cobb was honored last Thursday June 28 at the Executive Inn by the Bay Area Business Roundtable (BABRT) for his life of service. From his efforts during the Civil Rights Movement with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., to owning the largest Black Newspaper in Northern California, Cobb has lived a life rooted in activism.

Other awardees included Oakland City Councilmember At-Large Rebecca Kaplan, Author and Attorney Robert Harris, Julie Hodge of Adecco,  and San Leandro Police Chief Jeff Tudor.

CEO and Founder Bernard Ashcraft has led BABRT for over 20 years to serve as a trusted intermediary between local businesses and the community.  The bi-monthly networking event allows for businesses and communities to build relationships by advancing economic, policy and workforce development.
