Raiders players S Erik Harris and LB Kyle Wilber spent their lone off day of the week assisting in sorting and distributing food out of the Alameda County Community Food Bank’s (ACCFB) Mobile Pantry truck to low-income families in the East Bay.

The players lent their support in handing out fresh fruits and vegetables to residents from the Mobile Pantry, which provides to local families a free farmers-market filled with healthy staples and fresh produce.

The Food Bank serves one in five people – including children, seniors, and entire families -in Alameda County. ACCFB’s Mobile Pantry truck visits dozens of neighborhood schools, parks, wellness centers as well as additional locations in the community.

The Mobile Pantry this week was parked outside the Ashland Village Apartments in San Leandro and families were lined up well in advance of the start of the distribution to collect their items and meet, greet, take photos and interact with the players, who mentioned that they were happy to assist and humbled by the experience.
