Equity Allies for OUSD, a group of local parents and community members, is holding a forum on issues facing Oakland public school families, Saturday, Sept. 29, 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., at Edna Brewer Middle School, 3748 13th Ave. in Oakland.

“These are challenging times for our district. Learn more about the problems facing OUSD and how leading community organizations are working to solve them. Ask questions, get involved and bring information back to you community,” said the invitation to the Sept. 29 forum.

Panels and workshops will include discussions “about how to increase equity around learning outcomes, student discipline, charter (schools), school fundraising and the budget as well as how to get involved in state policy issues.”
