“Dine and Connect” is hosting dinners for the homeless the last Monday of each month, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1420 Lafayette St. in Alameda.

Upcoming dinners will be held: Dec. 31, Jan. 28, Feb. 25, March 25, April 29 and May 27.

Laundry service for the homeless: A Building Futures outreach worker will be at Laundry Time Laundromat, 650 Central Ave. in Alameda every Thursday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to wash clothes.

Bring one load of laundry, and Building Futures provides the rest. Limit is one load per person. The last load goes into the washer at 12:15 p.m.

The washers are small, so this service is for clothing, not sleeping bags, blankets or other bulky items.

To receive the service, please register with Building Futures Homeless Outreach at (510) 686-2332.
